Abstract

Rice is the staple food crop for India as well as entire Asia Pacific region. But this crop has been
constantly exposed to various biotic and abiotic stresses effecting the yield pattern. The prominent
among the abiotic stress is water stress. This paper tries to evaluate the effect of drought stress on
the various physiological parameters taken under consideration during the study. The results has
been validated using methods to understand the impact of the drought sustaining characters on the
Genetic Variability, Coefficient of Variance, Heritability and Genetic Advance.
