This chapter presents a design of 2048-point Split Radix Fast Fourier transformer (FFT). Radix 4
Butterfly units are used in the design to enhance the power performance of the FFT. Split Radix FFT
(SRFFT) are widely used configuration of FFT for the low power applications which is due to its lesser
computation complexity. It has the similar signal flow graph as of radix-2/4 FFTs, therefore the
address generation method is also the same. The design is further modified in this chapter to enhance
the power performance by improved butterfly units in SRFFT. 2048-point SRFFT is computed using
radix-4 butterfly units in this chapter which reduces the dynamic power consumption as compared to
the conventional design. Simulation analysis is performed to verify the improved performance of the
proposed deign.
