Abstract

In most cases, hemodynamic diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures require general anesthesia with extubation and patient awakening at the conclusion of the treatment. This anesthetic protocol is used on patients who are scheduled for routine and/or emergency procedures; however, for specific cases and hemodynamic procedures, dedicated anesthetic procedural techniques are necessary.
