Abstract

Superior Agriculture products are some of the most profitable Agriculture products to be cultivated and developed compared to other products in an area, have market prospects, can increase farmer and family income, have broad potential land resources, have superior genetic traits and other characteristics, including taste, aroma, and shape. This chapter investigates the classification of Subsector in the Agriculture Sector and Superior Agriculture Products in Badung District, Bali Province, Indonesia. The research location in Badung District, Bali Province, which was determined purposively, was based on considerations, namely in the northern part of Badung District, especially in Mengwi, Abiansemal, and Petang sub-districts, grown and cultivated by farmers of various kinds of Agriculture products, and in Kuta Selatan District there fishing areas, of which there may be some of the superior products in the subdistrict mentioned.The types of data collected are quantitative and qualitative data, sourced from secondary sources and primary sources. Data collection methods are documentation, observation, and interviews. The results of the analysis using time series data for the GRDP of Badung District and GRDP of Bali Province 2014-2018, especially the growth rate and contribution of the subsector in the Agriculture sector in Badung District and Bali Province. It is alos revealed that the nine subsectors in the Agriculture sector in Badung District can be classified into two classes, namely five subsectors including the developing subsector, namely food crops, seasonal horticulture crops, annual horticulture crops, livestock, and fisheries. The four subsectors—seasonal plantations, annual plantations, agriculture and hunting services, and forestry and logging—are included in the undeveloped subsector. Each developing subsector's primary products are: Lowland rice and soybeans are part of the food crop subsector. In the livestock subsector is cows, goats, pigs, laying hens, broilers, village chickens, and ducks. In the fisheries subsector, are tuna, selar fish, snapper, yellow tail, and shrimp.
